Miss Robinson
I have had the pleasure of being Head Teacher here since January 2008
After graduating from Leicester University, I began my teaching career in a large Primary school in Leicester, as a year 2 teacher. I then moved to a school in Scunthorpe where I taught Years 2, 5 and 6. I became a Leading Maths teacher which I thoroughly enjoyed as it gave me opportunities to work in different schools. I moved to Wadworth Primary school as Deputy Head and Year 5/6 teacher and stayed there for six years before taking my first Headship post.
Barnby Dun Primary is a wonderful school and I feel really lucky to work with such talented and committed staff and amazing children. I love the outdoor space we have particularly helping Mr Harrison with our Eco-warriors club in Barnbywoods. The things I love best about my role are: getting to know the children well and seeing their fantastic work and the fact that no two days are the same! We are very proud to have joined the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership Trust (BFLPT) in 2019.
As an accredited Local Leader in Education, I enjoy going out and supporting schools in difficulty and find it very rewarding watching them grow and improve.
I have a son, who is a former Barnby Dun pupil who has now left school. We spend time as a family in Scotland, Devon and Cornwall, where we love walking on the beach with our terriers, Albert and Tilly. We also love going to Center Parcs with friends and family.
