Welcome to Barnby Dun

MISS MAY

My name is Miss May and I have been teaching for fifteen years, which has flown! I have worked at Barnby Dun Primary for over five years now and have loved every minute of the journey I've been on here. The school is amazing and many factors contribute to this: staff, parents and especially the children! Now the school is part of the Brighter Futures Partnership trust, it is a very exciting time and I am finding myself collaborating much more with staff from other schools, which is great for sharing  ideas and extended team work!

Throughout my time at Barnby Dun so far, I have taught in year, 4, 5 and 6. Each year has been very enjoyable and special in its own way and this year, I am very lucky as I get to teach in the Year 4 Meerkats for two days per week, as well as spending the rest of the week focusing on my Deputy role, doing lots of work with Miss Robinson and all the classes throughout the school, especially moving new ideas and initiatives forward.

During my spare time, I love doing yoga, spending time with my friends and family (eating out is a regular hobby of mine!) and going  for nice walks. Another hobby of mine is writing stories - I would love to get myself published as a children's author one day!
