Mrs Wilkinson-Leigh
Hello, my name is Mrs Wilkinson-Leigh and I teach the Butterflies at Barnby Dun Primary Academy and also the phase leader for foundation stage.
I have been teaching now for 19 years and love every minute of it. I began teaching at Wadworth Primary where I mainly taught in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One although my final year there I taught across the whole school which gave me a wonderful picture of how a child learns from their first steps into primary school to their final steps out of primary school.
I have been working at Barnby Dun for the past ten years ( time has flown). I love teaching the Butterflies and getting the glitter out is one of my favourite things! We spend lots of time learning outdoors in the woods which is lots of fun too.
Outside of school I am kept very busy looking after my two girls - Alice who is now 15 and goes to Hungerhill, Grace who is here at Barnby Dun; and our guinea pigs Minnie and Mickey. As a family we love going to our caravan at Cayton Bay, having lots of fun at the beach and playing in the sea.
