Welcome to Barnby Dun

Year 1 Jellyfish - Mrs Jones

Pen Portrait - Mrs C Jones

I have been a Governor at Barnby Dun Primary Academy since 2009 and was appointed Vice-Chair of the Governing Body a few years ago now. I thoroughly enjoy being involved in school and hope I can add value to the already strong leadership team, in assisting them drive the school forward in a positive way. I believe I offer a different skill set, which I have developed over many years, significantly through my working career. I view my role as Vice-Chair as being both a 'critical friend' and 'trusted advisor' to the Headteacher, Staff and my colleagues within the Governing Body.

I wear many 'hats' and gain enjoyment from them all: I work for a firm of Accountants as a Business Growth Manager, I am also a Magistrate here in Doncaster, a position I have held since 2004. However, the role that gives me the most pleasure, is that of being a Mum to my two daughters, Olivia and Freya. We have great fun together, we love being out in the fresh air partaking in all sorts of activities and also enjoy doing lots of 'girlie' things. The girls take up so much of my spare time (I'm not complaining) but when I do get the chance, I enjoy running, going out for nice food and socialising with friends and family.
